The Cambridge vest by Tanis Lavallee is the ultimate layering piece—perfect over button-up shirts, t-shirts, or turtlenecks, and effortlessly paired with jeans, corduroys, or trousers. It truly works with everything! Knit seamlessly from the top down, you’ll begin by casting on stitches for the back, which is worked flat with short row shaping to enhance the fit across the shoulders. Next, stitches are picked up for each shoulder, and the fronts are knit flat with shaping to create the neckline. Once the front is complete, it’s joined with the back, and the body is worked in the round down to the hem.

The original version of Cambridge is knit with fingering weight and mohair yarns at a 20 st/4" gauge.
